Wax Museum "Panopticon", Hamburg

Museum "Panopticon" - the oldest wax museum in Germany. It was opened in 1879 and is still a popular destination for locals and tourists. First time here exhibited wax figures of people were implicated in some kind of scandalous affairs, such as fraudulent mayors with appropriate signatures or criminals. Today, the museum except for one hundred and twenty Wax celebrities, including Einstein, Stalin, Roosevelt, Hitler, Princess Diana, Goethe and Schiller, and has a unique anatomical hall, where the wax models of various human organs, stage of disease and even a collection of glass eyes. Wax Museum Panopticon was and remains a family business, in which the creator of the figures until the death of its owner was Herman Ferber.
